Been sleeping on this one for way too long and what a huge surprise.
I've been meaning to watch Looper for quite sometime now and wasn't disappointed. It's an intelligent, thought provoking film about toxic masculinity, memory, and the nature of reality. Time-travel is a plot device, not a plot line, as the film exceptionally proves through it’s concise story. Joesph-Gordon Levitt proves himself time and again. Emily Blunt is a masterpiece in anything she’s in.
Has some traces of the X-Men franchise mixed with Chronicle sprinkled throughout it which surprisingly blends really well.
