An aimless 28 year-old Brooklynite lands in the hospital after drunkenly breaking her hip. An encounter with a cranky elderly Polish woman who speaks no English leads to a job caring for her. Neither likes it, but it's time to grow up.

Karen Gillian is quite charismatic and showcases great comedic timing, squeezing every drop of cringe out of every awkward situation. It's the type of film that you absolutely want to love, but sadly the writing just isn't up to par. The dialogue is sophmoric and devoid of wit. The comedic elements don't mesh with the melodrama in a fluid fashion. Furthermore, the comic relief sections feel tacked on and forced, rather than being a welcomed distraction they feel like annoying intrusions.
