After witnessing EMTs resuscitate a Paddy's patron, Mac and Dennis set out to become the pinnacle of masculinity; Frank tries to prove a prank's innocence with The Lawyer; Dee attempts to hack her part-time side hustle with Charlie's help as he descends into the fast-paced life of a chef.

Ghost peppers, EMT’s and smash burgers. This followed the formula the gang has used for many years and showed us how that formula can still work when executed properly. Plus, it had a great callback to the previous episode when Frank was looking at a man in a coma and asked if he was cake. I have to admit that I was worried when the episode revolved around stuff like micro dosing ghost peppers, but my concerns were quick assuaged as soon as I saw how they were able mine it for some solid comedy.
This had three intersecting stories, Dennis and Mac become EMT’s while Dee is working for Postmates and Charlie starts making the food she delivers. Charlie and Dee’s stories intersect the most while Frank is in and out of the stories while dealing with the “Jew Lawyer” with the eye patch played by Brian Unger. The intersecting worked well, the mania was fun and energizing and the humor was great. This is far from a perfect episode. It doesn’t reach the heights of the manic weirdness of Chardee MacDennis or then selling barrels of gas from a van, but it’s fun and a solid reminder of what we like about the show. Brian Unger being back as the lawyer was great. Maybe we can see him come back again at some point in a storyline about Dennis being a suspect in Maureen Pondarosa’s death. I’d love a good follow up to that “Making A Murderer” parody episode.
