My quick rating - 6.4/10. Very much a worthy remake of the original. No, it doesn't have that feel the first one did, but it would be very difficult now to disgust the audience with a rape scene as it was in 1972. The characters in this were fairly strong and helped keep the story going while also being semi-believable. You may know the story, or not, so quickly sum up, two girls get abducted in the woods by a bad family, and the sole survivor and her family seek revenge. They do so a bit differently from the first, so expect a slightly better setup for how this transpires. You will have to mind the certain "why didn't you...." thoughts during, but when can you watch horror and not think that. Either way, I got more than I expected for sure and any fan of the original won't be disappointed.
