The revenge thriller adaptation of the 1985 BBC miniseries, modernized to fit a post-9/11 world of corporate conspiracies and government corruption. Though its broader political commentary lacks depth, Edge of Darkness succeeds in delivering a gripping thriller that resonates.
It's a dad thriller/action piece for the everyday man to daydream sticking it to the man. Gibson might be a nut job but I always find myself enjoying his work.
