I lowkey put this on to have something to fall asleep to. I got way to invested and it is now 2am.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Fantastic movie about what hatred and grief can do to people. A really good movie I’ve been putting off for way too long
Also what ever happened to Lucas Hedges, I feel like I haven’t heard about him in forever

Ghost in the Shell
I deadass don’t think I’m smart enough to appreciate this film properly, I think I need to watch the sequel and have someone kinda walk me through this to get the most out of it. I will say that it’s definitely a very interesting concept which I am interested in watching more of.
Genuinely one of the most insane movies I’ve seen in awhile, Finchers got the sauce with this one
Gone Girl
Road House
Punch Kick Punch Kick Punch Kick
Road House
Nimrods
Green Day can even make movies now?? God they are fucking great
Nimrods
The Wind Rises
Shit is just phenomenal and beautifully animated. Amazing story and characters.
The Wind Rises
The Brink of War
It’s about the same movie I expect from Angel studios, it’s not bad but it’s nothing extraordinary
The Brink of War
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Aquaman 2 like many of the DCEU sequels just falls flat and overall I see why these versions of these movies failed. They just don’t live up to their potential.
While Mamoa doesn’t necessarily look the part of Aquaman he’s definitely the best part of the movie and I liked the dynamic between him and Orm.
But the story itself is just so boring and Manta is so one dimensional he is more of just a one and done villain in this iteration of the character
Visual effects were overall solid but just another mid movie in the DC catalog of movies.
And just like that my DCEU rewatch is over and the biggest takeaway is that DC just has some of the best material out there when it comes to superhero movies, they just need to find that grove that works and need to stop trying to copy Marvel
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
The Flash
While this movie definitely has many faults I would still say this movie is more good than bad. Ezra Miller will never be as good as Grant Gustin in being the Flash but I find his portrayal perfectly fine.
Seeing Keaton and Shannon back in their roles was really fun and the Batman parts of this movie are 100% the best parts of it. Bro kicks SO much ass.
The obvious worst part of this movie is the worst excuse of CGI I have ever seen. I mean this whole movie really is an eye sore. And that running form, don’t even get me started on that, I mean I know that whole concept has got to be hard to get down right but wow that can’t be the best thing they landed on.
And that whole timeline collapsing scene just hurts the eyes to see
The Flash
The Rivals of Amziah King
Nothing could have prepared me for how the second half of this movie went but this movie was really fun and I enjoyed it alot
Matthew McConaughey needs to record every audiobook in existence
The Rivals of Amziah King
Lemon Sky
A surprisingly good movie that I wasn’t really expecting anything from but this was a really solid low budget film
I figured for the final film in the Casey Affleck filmography it would be fitting to finish it with his first credited film. He’s fine in it and has a few lines and doesn’t play a huge part
Lemon Sky
Captain America: Brave New World
Definitely not the worst MCU project to come out post endgame but there’s definitely something missing comparing this to the earlier Captain America movies. It’s not that Sam Wilson is now Captain America, to me he’s one of the best part of the film and I enjoyed seeing his character fully fleshed out in this, although I would have preferred if he kept his suit from TFATWS
The big problem with me in this film is that the villains weren’t handled the best, they turned 2 iconic hulk films and put them against Captain America and they waited way too long to do anything with these villains, I mean we haven’t seen Sterns since 2008, that’s way too long to do anything with this type of character. It just feels like a general misfire. The story itself isn’t anything especially special but the action/espionage aspect that was teased a lot in the trailers for this just weren’t there.
Cool that they pulled Bucky off the Thunderbolts lot to film a quick scene here lmao
