My first horror movie
1961, I was 10, my 12yo brother took me to a matinee. We walked across the Allegheny River to the State Theatre in Kittanning PA. They advertised there would be a one minute "fright break" when you could leave your seat and get a ticket to a different movie if you left the theater. about 5 minutes before the end a clock popped onto the screen and ticked off the minute. We stuck it out! The scene that followed is fixed in my brain forever! On the way back across the bridge there were two teen girls walking behind us that had been in the theatre. We ducked behind a big steel bridge beam, jumped out and scared the begeezuz out of them.
