The main character of the series is the prosecutor's office investigator Aleksandr Zhelvis. Pedantic. Witty. Caustic. Colleagues and superiors cannot stand him. Not only does he love to work "on the ground", which violates the chain of command; Zhelvis tells everyone the truth in person. And often it is confusing. And not so much suspects as colleagues. Zhelvis always has his own version of any, the most obvious case.
