- Jay Marie Bailey22. Mai 2026While as a stand alone this if possibly better than my rating however, I made the decision to watch Rome, Medici & The Borgias chronologically. Of those this one I consider the weaker although it is close between this and Medici. Cast is strong, wardrobe appears to be fairly accurate, sets are fairly well represented, score is good. As to accuracy all 3 favour drama over fact which is always the case. I noticed in all 3 shows that the poor areas have a tendancy to look cleaner and tidier than it would of been. Sean Harris playing the unsung hero Micheletto plays one of the strongest supporting characters. Direction changes for season 3 as this duty is taken over by Kari Skogland rather than Neil Jordan, who wrote all 3 seasons but only directed the first 2. I found this final season a bit more on the sensational side.
