Young Manu fires a gun and kills Isidro, brother of corrupt police officer Horacio Escamilla. By doing so, Manu saves his 15-year-old sister Stephanie from rape but becomes a fugitive from the law, and as they run away they get separated. Doña Cata, a kind elderly woman, helps Manu recover and employs him as a cellphone vendor. Eager to find his sister, Manu becomes a tech-savvy hacker and starts to help other crime victims. Meanwhile, Horacio has become a powerful commander and promised to kill his brother's murderer. To keep helping victims, Manu creates Gus, his hidden cyber-identity, and becomes the hope of the citizens of a crime-plagued city.
