Shadow Skill ist ein Anime, der das Martial Arts Genre auf eine neue Ebene bringt. Denn anders, als bei anderen Martial Arts Anime/Movies etc. geht es hier nicht nur um den Kampf, sondern auch um die Fragen, die damit verbunden sind. "Warum kämpfe ich?" "Was ändere ich?" "Gibt es eine andere Lösung?" Die Story handelt an und für sich von einer kleinen Gruppe an Kämpfern, die mehrere Abenteuer erleben, anfangs eher einzelne abgeschlossene Abenteuer, dafür aber später, bunt durchwachsen, so dass alles aufeinander beruht und zurückgreift.
