    Beautiful animation, strong sci-fi elements and excellent writing. Also has an incredibly detailed level of speculative biology on display; the world and inhabits of Vesta are inspired!

    aaand were never getting a season 2 cuz no one watched it for not having any dialogue and lore drop every 5 minute or le funny smiling friends gag so they can just put as background noise and continue scrolling tiktok on the side or in build phase in rainbox six siege... yikes

    One of the weirdest trippiest hypnotic scifi shows I've ever seen. I kindof liked it. Loved the music. It felt deeply sad, and deeply meaningful. Like the entire show moment to moment had a message of great import. Beautiful show, and makes you think.

    Breathtaking and original. Think: if Miyazaki did more drugs. If you want a preview, try the short that this series evolved from first to see if it's your cup of weird... It's 7 minutes long, and free on YT, I can't link it because plex blocks those links like a bunch of dicks.

    It's a shame this show didn't get the traction it needed for renewal, as there's definitely something interesting here. It's a little too much body horror for my taste, and the show struggles to make some of the characters who dominate the screen time likeable, but it's still a ride worth your time. The spiritual successor to this show, Common Side Effects, had an amazing first season, and is a great follow-up after watching this.
