January 1993. Correspondent for one of the country's largest newspapers in France, Paloma Fernandes returns to Brazil after breaking up her marriage. She receives a mission from Dr. Felix, owner of Grupo Folha: to take over as head of reporting for one of the group's newspapers, Notícias Populares. But the task of leading reporters will prove difficult. Paloma will have to overcome her prejudices to report on spectacular cases such as the Baby Devil, the Clown Gang and a prostitute rebellion.
