-"Il était une forêt" is a journey through Fred Pellerin's forest in Saint-Élie-de-Caxton (in the province of Quebec, Canada). Like a camera on Fred's shoulder, we discover with him the language of the trees, plants, animals and colorful people who cross paths there. Throughout the episodes of the series, we take a look at many aspects of his land: the lake, the woods, the nourishing forest, and the sugaring-off season. Several wildlife experts also come to share their passion and knowledge with Fred so that he can learn how to tame and care for it to keep it healthy for generations to come.
