Drama series depicting the frenetic daily lives of the doctors, nurses and patients in the hectic cardiac unit of Holby City General Hospital. The unit is run by the autocratic Consultant Surgeon Anton Meyer (George Irving) assisted by arrogant sidekick Registrar Nick (Michael French) who find themselves in a continuous running battle with Consultant Muriel McKendrick (Phyllis Logan) over beds with the rest of the staff caught in the cross-fire.

Annalese tells Michael that she and Ric have split up and she's about to take up a post in the US and wants to take their kids with her. Malick's teaching makes him face up to his responsibilities. Tara catches Hanssen's notice with her diagnosis on a shrapnel brain injury but in doing so only draws notice to her own brain tumour which she has not made public pushing Hanssen to suspend her. F38Stepping up to the PlateRic puts his faith in Chantelle after Serena keeps putting her down but when she oversteps the mark in relaying information to a patients husband she puts her professionalism in jeopardy. Luc disappears upsetting Eddi which isn't helped by constant needling by Chrissie. Michael puts his much planned visit to the US on hold to cover for Luc missing his son's birthday in the process. - From Here to Maternity
F41From Here to MaternityMo goes into early labour but defies going to maternity until Jonnie can get hold of the real mother of the baby - Sorcia. But hold-ups means that a reluctant Jac has to assist Mo in the delivery of the baby boy. Elsewhere, Serena has to manage surgeries without the assistance of Ric and Eddi takes her frustration with Luc on the rest of the staff. - The Devil Will Come

An overtired Tara refuses to ask for help and nearly endangers a patient in the process and elsewhere Chantelle comes face to face with a colleague from school who takes her wrath out on Chantelle. - Devil's Dance
F48Devil's DanceMax begins behaving erratically after seeing a sickle-cell patient and then removes drugs from the drug cabinet. He is later asked to leave theatre by Eddi when it becomes obvious he is under the influence of drugs. Elsewhere, Tara tries to deal with an OCD patient not helped by Jac's overbearing attitude. Meanwhile, Malick has to deal with a manipulative student and needs Ric's guiding hand to sort her out. - A Crack in the Ice
F49A Crack in the IceLuc arrives back but tells Sasha he isn't staying particularly after he finds Eddi and Max in a compromising position in his lab. But Sasha's persuasiveness wins over. Meanwhile, Jac and Mo operate on a radioactive patient against Hanssen's advice. Elsewhere, Chrissie's 40th birthday is made known to all by Sasha but Chrissie's non too pleased with the news getting out. - Hold On Me
F50Hold On MeMax begins to show signs of his continued opiate abuse which starts to effect his work. Luc forces his hand into giving a blood test but instead Max states he is leaving Holby not to return. Jonny and Mo play a practical joke on Tara with Ollie's phone but it backfires on them when Tara cottons on to what they are up to. The report into Ritchie Mooney's death is inconclusive and Hanssen is bombarded with hate mail.
