Die nackte BombeMaxwell Smart (Don Adams) ist Agent 86! Eigentlich ist er im wohlverdienten Ruhestand, aber seine Regierung braucht ihn. Das Verbrecher-Syndikat „Kaos“ um den Modezaren Sauvage (Vittorio Gassman) hat eine Bombe entwickelt, die, wenn sie gezündet wird, alle Kleidungsstücke in einem weiten Umkreis zerstört. So will Sauvage die Menschheit von seinen Modellen abhängig machen, denn diese sind die einzigen, die die Bombe nicht zerstören kann. Smart stürzt sich in die Ermittlungen, um dem Bösen wieder einmal das Handwerk zu legen.
