In den Sieben Königreichen bauen sich zwischen den mächtigsten Adelshäusern des Reiches Spannungen auf, die schließlich zum offenen Thronkampf führen. Gleichzeitig droht der Wintereinbruch und es zeichnet sich eine Gefahr durch eine fremde Rasse im hohen Norden von Westeros ab.

Unfortunately the writers overtook the books a few seasons before the end and it really shows in the final season where we get a Hollywood version of the show which falls flat at every level. That said there's too much good stuff here to write this off over a poor ending. I still recommend this to anyone that hasn't given it a shot yet.
