- Daniel Gustavsson8. November 2024The most intriguing and suspenseful anime I've ever seen. The story is very well told, and it's structured in a kind of unique way too. In my opinion the first 2 episodes are a bit bland and boring, but once the 3rd episode hits, the show just grabs a hold of you and never lets go until it ends. The pacing is just about perfect throughout the whole thing and surprisingly there are never any dull moments. If you enjoy suspenseful anime then this is a must watch. Don't be fooled by the aesthetics (little kids in school and all that). This is absolutely a show for a more mature audience. As a sidenote, I usually don't like moral messages in media like this. But this show actually managed to hit me pretty hard with it at the end.

Eintausend Jahre in der Zukunft hat sich die Zivilisation zurückentwickelt und die Menschen leben versprengt in kleinen Gemeinschaften. Die Menschen dieser Zeit verfügen über telekinetische Kräfte namens Juryoku, die in Abwesenheit fortschrittlicher Technologie auch ihre primäre Hilfs- und Energiequelle darstellen. Nachdem endlich ihr Juryoku erwacht ist, kann sich Saki ihren Freunden in der Schule anschließen, wo ihnen der Umgang mit dieser Kraft gelehrt wird, aber auch Grundsätze der Gesellschaft nähergebracht werden. Immer wieder bemerkt Saki jedoch Seltsamkeiten im Verhalten der Leute und mitunter verschwinden vereinzelt Schüler, was die Frage über die Hintergründe der aktuellen Welt und die Geschehnisse in den vergangenen 1000 Jahren aufwirft.
