Early family guy would be higher on the list. This show holds a very special place for me. But it doesn't feel as funny to me anymore. It's more just background noise when I'm gaming. Early seasons are very good

Family Guy is bold, outrageous, and unrelenting in its comedy. From the very first episode, Seth MacFarlane created a world where absurdity, satire, and pop culture collide in a way that no other animated series has attempted. The show thrives on pushing boundaries, lampooning social norms, and challenging sensibilities, all while keeping its irreverent sense of humor at the forefront. Watching it from the start with my son, we have never laughed so much as we have grown up together with the Griffins. At its core, Family Guy is about the Griffin family, but the brilliance of the show lies in its ability to expand beyond them. Peter Griffin embodies the ultimate everyman absurdity, bumbling through life with a mix of idiocy and occasional cunning. Lois, Brian, Stewie, Meg, and Chris provide contrasting perspectives, personalities, and comedic opportunities that keep the series fresh even after decades. Each character serves as a vehicle for satire, absurdity, or emotional depth, often within the same episode. The humor in Family Guy is unapologetically fast, loud, and often politically incorrect. Cutaway gags, pop culture references, and surreal absurdities define the show’s signature style. These elements allow it to comment on society, entertainment, politics, and everyday life with remarkable speed and cleverness. Every joke, even when crass, is a commentary, whether subtle or overt. It mixes slapstick with sharp satire in a way that is uniquely its own. Despite its surface level silliness, Family Guy often surprises with genuine moments of heart. Episodes that focus on family dynamics, personal growth, or unexpected emotional depth reveal that beneath the outrageous exterior is a show capable of real empathy and storytelling. This balance between chaos and sentiment is one of the series’ enduring strengths. The show’s longevity is a testament to its creativity and adaptability. Across decades, it has responded to cultural shifts, political changes, and the evolution of pop culture, maintaining relevance without losing its identity. Family Guy has influenced countless other animated series and comedians, proving that its brand of audacious comedy is not just entertaining but culturally significant. Visually, the animation is simple yet expressive, giving the writers room to focus on timing, absurdity, and gag delivery. Its style reinforces the chaos of the humor while keeping the characters instantly recognizable and memorable. At the same time, Family Guy is not afraid to experiment with form, structure, and narrative. Musical numbers, cutaway gags, parody episodes, and surreal sequences demonstrate the show’s creative ambition. Each season brings new surprises, proving that even after years of episodes, the series is far from running out of ideas. In short, Family Guy is fearless, funny, and endlessly inventive. It is a show that celebrates the absurd, mocks the sacred, and does so while delivering moments of genuine heart. Watching it with my son has been an unforgettable experience, laughing together at every outrageous episode as we grew up. For fans who have followed the Griffins from the very beginning, it is more than a show; it is a cultural experience, a testament to creativity, longevity, and the power of comedy to push boundaries. Its influence, humor, and audacity remain unmatched, and its status in the pantheon of animated television is absolutely legendary. LEGENDARY STATUS UNLOCKED!! ❤️👏👏👏

Love the past episodes where they make fun of almost everyone. Newer episodes, not so much. They replaced Adam West with a boring new mayor, they reduced the cutaways and mostly fillers now.

Great classic animation. It' still kicking today. I think The Simpsons is better, but perhaps such just nostalgia

Seth McFarlane is a sick sick man, and we love him for it.

Seasons 1-19 were funny and entertaining, particularly the first 16 or so seasons stood out to me as brilliant. Since season 20, the jokes have gotten dramatically duller, less funny, cutaways now lack jokes (if even present), "jokes" are being reused multiple times in the same episodes and the show often has to explain the joke to you with an irritating announcer or narrator of some sort, honestly, I think this show isn't targeting the original concept anymore and is a shell of its former self, I think Disney/Fox sees this as jusr filler brainrot they want clips of reposted onto platforms like TikTok to draw people into paying for Disney+. An AI can generate something funnier, even the first version of Google Gemini which was dumb as hell (the one that told people to eat rocks) and even that could've probably made better jokes. The TV and Disney+ versions of the show lack many of the funniest jokes as they've usually been cut or re-phrased for TV, if your gonna watch the show, buy the dvds of the show for the earlier seasons as those are way funnier and not even censored, and the bonus features are a nice addition too, showing you the passion they used to put into the show. I think this series should be cancelled before Disney & Fox fully destroy the legacy this show once had with these abysmal episodes they are releasing now.

If my house was on fire, I’d save my Plex server just for Family Guy. This show is like comfort food laced with dark humor and zero shame. Peter’s stupidity? Inspiring. Stewie? A murderous genius baby I weirdly relate to. Brian? A dog who drinks martinis and writes novels—how is this not peak television? Every episode feels like a fever dream written by a drunk genius with ADHD, and honestly, I respect that. I don’t just watch Family Guy, I recharge my soul with it. Add it to your Plex or risk eternal boredom.
