- Zerces19. April 2026Dragon Ball, THE anime of our childhood, we all look at it with a nostalgic eye. Everyone wanted to be a Super Saiyan. i grew up with it, i loved it. it was the anime that fueld my love for animes. but after watching 300 animes i have to admit, It's showing its age, the story isnt very good at all (actually, there isn't one; new enemies are introduced just to introduce new enemies, there's no goal at the end. actually they could have ended the anime after Frieza. even the newly introduced power level system got completely ripped with SS2 and further. a problem wich prolongs in DB Super), no depth to the characters. the only depht are new power levels. The anime is from 1989, after all. and it is mainly an action anime. this is what it does. deliver cool, nostalgic, rememberal Fights. and some legendary "what the fuck" moments. DBZ is THE entry level Anime for me. a must Watch, a must know. it is cult, but its old and cant compete with newer animes cause lack of named points. with todays eyes, i would give it 3 stars... but due to its age and impact on the animescene, 4.5 stars are a must. for more, i would need more story :) even for this age (there are lots of same age animes with deeper lore) EDITED, bc my first review didnt match me after a night of sleep :D

If this is your first time watching the series, I envy you. Please watch it right. Orange Bricks are a no-go. Dragon Ball forever.
- K1t5un329. April 2025You know how many gym memberships this anime sold? There other anime like Hajime No Ippo that inspire working out, but nothing like DBZ. Bruce Faulconer and Jeremy Sweet? Yeah, that's some real mood setting music. How can you not love an anime that inspires you to become stronger? How can you not appreciate Sean Schemmel powering up in a mic for 2 minutes straight?

Viele Jahre sind vergangen seit sich der kleine Son-Goku auf die Suche nach den legendären Dragonballs machte, um zu verhindern, dass sie in die falschen Hände geraten. Jetzt ist er ein erwachsener Mann, ist verheiratet und hat selbst einen kleinen Sohn. Eines Tages taucht ein außerirdischer Krieger auf, der sich als Son-Gokus Bruder Radditz vorstellt und Son-Goku erzählt, dass er keineswegs ein Mensch, sondern ein Saiyajin-Krieger sei. Seine Mission sei es gewesen, die Erde zu vernichten. Nach einem Unfall habe er jedoch sein Gedächtnis verloren. Jetzt sei es an der Zeit, den Auftrag auszuführen. Son-Goku weigert sich jedoch und zieht in den Kampf gegen neue mächtige Feinde.
