- John Chapel8. März 2025Everybody gives it their all, but the story of Alice in Wonderland is actually REALLY boring when you remove all the fantasy elements. And thats what this is: some sort of Nolan-inspired Gangland version of the story of Alice, with small recognizable Wonderland hallmarks peppered in here and there so you go "Oh look I recognize that!" to flamingo-themed hoverbike, etc. There's way too many superior Alice adaptations out there, including the bizarre two-night TV special from the 80s to even bother throwing this one into the mix.

Wunderland hat sich mit dem falschen Mädchen angelegt! Judotrainerin Alice Hamilton hat wieder mal Stress mit ihrem Freund Jack. Und das aus gutem Grund: Als Alice zehn Jahre alt war, hat ihr Vater die Familie über Nacht verlassen. Dieses einschneidende Erlebnis hatte zur Folge, dass Alice seither zu keinem Mann mehr Vertrauen fassen kann – auch nicht zu Jack. Als dieser nun Alice einen Ring schenken möchte, überkommt sie Panik, und sie schickt ihn fort. Kurz darauf wird Jack wie aus heiterem Himmel von ein paar dunklen Gestalten entführt. Alice nimmt die Verfolgung auf – und landet, einem weißen Kaninchen durch einen Spiegel folgend, im Wunderland.
