Alessandra Colasanti is an actress, screenwriter and director. She made her acting debut in 2001 in the play “Deus Ex-Machina”, directed by Gerald Thomas. She acted in the series “O Mecanismo”, seasons 1 and 2 (Netflix), directed by José Padilha, Marcos Prado and Daniel Rezende; series “Magnífica 70” (HBO/Conspiração Filmes), directed by Claudio Torres and Carolina Jabor; series “Afinal o que quer as mulheres” (Globo), directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho; leading role in the series “As Canalhas” (GNT), directed by Anna Muylaert, with whom she also made her film debut in “É Proibido Fumar”. On TV, she acted in numerous soap operas and series. In theater, she worked with Michel Melamed, Moacir Chaves, Paulo de Moraes, among others. Star of the short film, “The True Story of the Red Dancer”, which won the award for Best Short Film at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro, among others. Screenwriter for TV Adnight, Esquenta (Globo), Balacobaco, Bela a feia, Amor e Intrigas (Record), Desnude (GNT).
