- James Saenzvor 6 Tagenthe reference to jack walking through the maze in the shining alone pushed this up to a 3.5 for me. wildehopps content goes crazy. respectable to tackle the concept of generational wealth gained from the exploitation of lower classes and how the desperation to retain that will compromise one’s own morals, but it does also kind of just repeat the animal racism plot line again. has all the same flaws and strengths of the original.

Great animation, stellar voice cast, well-structured story and reveals, expands on the original without downplaying the ending or repeating the plot, a better written twist villain than the first one, hilarious jokes and callbacks that nearly all landed, good references that were fun to catch, good music, great worldbuilding, an all-around perfect sequel! I’d love to see this become a series if they’re all as good as the first two. I didn’t realize all the possibilities the Zootopia world has. Interested to see where they go with the end credit tease. Crazy how Disney is still good if they actually lock in, who knew!

- sebazy19. März 2026It’s no masterpiece, nor is it as good as the first film frankly. But it’s flaws are forgivable (a few odd bits of character writing mostly) and the usual Disney bs isn’t overpowering. Overall a good fun film as long as you don’t think about it too much.
