Elias ist 14 und eigentlich mit Schulkram beschäftigt. Doch als der gleichaltrige Alexander ins Haus gegenüber zieht, gibt es da auf einmal ganz neue, aufregende Gefühle. Elias spürt, dass er sich zum ersten Mal richtig verliebt – und am liebsten jede freie Minute mit seinem neuen Freund verbringen möchte! Und dann erzählt ihm Alexander auch noch, dass er auf Jungs steht. Aber Elias hat Angst vor den Reaktionen der anderen, er behält seine Gefühle für sich und fängt an zu lügen. Erst nach einem Gespräch mit seinem Großvater wird ihm klar, was er wirklich will: mit allen Mitteln um Alexanders Herz kämpfen!

- Jim Fox5. Februar 2025Amazing movie I could rewatch a thousand times. The main character, Elias, is understanding that he likes boys when a new neighbor moves in. The neighbor, Alexander, is openly gay, freely admits to having a boyfriend in the past, and feels no need to hide who he is. Elias, unsure of himself and frigthtened of the prospects, fights his biology. This is a film that harkens back to older coming-of-age films, but with a modern bent. Highly recommended!
