- Shaun Firth21. Mai 2025Maybe I just have bad taste, but I really enjoyed this movie. If you're looking for Fast and Furious, look elsewhere. But Paul Walker is terrific as a stranger in a strange land, heroically trying to rescue the princess and save the day. He stumbles into a situation already out of control, and instead of choosing the easy way out, he puts pedal to metal to do the right thing, and maybe redeem himself at the same time. If you like this film like I did, give the John Cusack movie Drive Hard a test drive. Its a buddy picture on the back roads of Australia. It's a lot of fun.

Zur falschen Zeit am falschen Ort: Michael Woods reist als Tourist nach Südafrika und mietet nach einem langen Flug wahllos ein Auto. Erst später stellt er fest, dass im Wagen nicht nur eine geladene Waffe versteckt, sondern im Kofferraum auch eine Frau eingesperrt ist - Rachel Shabangu ist ausgerechnet die Kronzeugin in einem der größten Korruptionsfälle des Landes, in den auch die Polizei verwickelt ist. Die unlauteren Polizisten sind Woods, der eigentlich nur ganz normal Urlaub machen wollte, bereits auf den Fersen. Jetzt bleibt keine Zeit für Ferien, Woods muss um sein Leben kämpfen und die Kronzeugin in Sicherheit bringen. Denn Hos Aussage vor Gericht steht kurz bevor und nur mit ihrer Hilfe kann das korrupte System zum Einsturz gebracht werden. Eine Hetzjagd quer durchs Land beginnt.
