Under the Same Sun explores the mind of a confused and orphaned young man, Karim Jamal, who accidentally falls into the hands of a group of Hindu and Muslim village children in the medieval town of Jaisalmer, near the border of India and Pakistan. As the young boys welcome and nurture their injured desert guest, Karim soon discovers the true meaning of brotherhood and compassion, which forces him to rethink his true purpose in life.
