März 2026Thinner story, a new compilation of shiny pop songs, a dump load more glitter, and for a very young intended audience, what seems a very politically motivated animated movie. For such a young audience (and I struggle to see how anyone over the age of six or seven will find enjoyment over and above the bright colours), it seems odd, weirdly intensional, and with very little subtlety I’d add. The coloured map reference may be a particular irritation for half of our American cousins. If a collection of high shine pop tracks, à la Stars In Your Eyes, and a virtue signalling, educational cartoon sounds like your kind of fun, you’ll be in rainbow heaven. I hated it. An extra star for the animation, which is as stunning as the first.
