Train to Busan Rezensionen & Wertungen
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ20. März 2026Forget about the ordinary and immerse yourself into this amazing zombie thriller experience. If you love thrillers and zombie flicks, then you are in for a ride with this one. This film has it all: the hero arc, character development, insane action, relentless tension, drama, tear jerk, comedy, special effects, great cinematography and most of all excellent pace! Well done to the Korean cinema.
- jackmeat17. Dezember 2024My quick rating - 7,7/10. Wow. This has to be one of the best zombie films to come along in a LONG time. Easily in the conversation of top 10. The Korean masterpiece does what very few zombie films will do. You genuinely care about the characters involved. This includes rooting for some, and you will downright also be pulling for others to become dinner. When a zombie infestation breaks out in Seoul, survivors are forced to survive upon a train on its way to a possibly safe city, Busan. How this outbreak occurs is slightly alluded to and really is unimportant to the overall struggle you are to bear witness to in survival. The attention to detail and creativity used to keep the action going while being stuck on a train for the majority of the movie is a treat to behold. The acting does seem to be well done and though I watched a dubbed version I checked the subtitles and I believe they were even worse to use with the Korean original speech. Either way, the acting looked good and felt convincing enough. The script took care of that. Ma Dong-seok was a nice addition to the cast here. An absolute must for fans of the genre with the style that is presented and scenes that just demonstrate the magnitude of full out zombie invasions instead of 5 or 6 of the undead roaming around town.

- Hakihiko16. Dezember 2024A Heartfelt Journey Through Zombie Chaos "Train to Busan" is a thrilling step up for the zombie genre, combining relentless action with a surprisingly heartfelt plot. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, this South Korean film sets itself apart by infusing the typical zombie apocalypse with genuine emotional depth. The story follows Seok-woo (Gong Yoo) and his young daughter, Su-an (Kim Su-an), as they board a high-speed train from Seoul to Busan amidst a sudden zombie outbreak. The confined space of the train amplifies the tension, creating a claustrophobic atmosphere that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The zombies are fast and ferocious, adding to the intensity of the survival horror. What truly elevates "Train to Busan" is its focus on character development and relationships. The bond between Seok-woo and Su-an is at the heart of the film, providing an emotional anchor amidst the chaos. The supporting characters, from the selfless Sang-hwa (Ma Dong-seok) to the pregnant Seong-kyeong (Jung Yu-mi), bring depth and variety to the ensemble, making their fates all the more impactful. While the film is not without its flaws-some plot points feel predictable, and a few characters are underdeveloped-it successfully balances action with emotion, making it more than just a typical zombie flick. The social commentary on class and humanity's instinct for survival adds another layer of sophistication to the narrative. Overall, "Train to Busan" is a commendable addition to the genre, offering both high-octane thrills and touching moments. It may not be groundbreaking, but it's a well-crafted film that resonates with both horror fans and those looking for a story with heart.
