Regie Antti J. JokinenDr. Juliet Dermer, Fachärztin in der Unfallchirurgie, kann ihr Glück zunächst kaum fassen, als sie auf der Suche nach einem bezahlbaren Wohnobjekt in der besseren Gegend von New York City auf den Vermieter und sympathischen Kuscheltypen Max trifft, der ihr eine traumhafte Mietmansarde anbietet. Auch die Miete hält sich in Grenzen, da das Haus aufwendig renoviert werden soll und dadurch mit Lärmbelästigung zu rechnen ist. Max und Juliet kommen sich näher, aber Juliet blockt, da sie die Trennung von ihrem Ex noch nicht richtig verarbeitet hat. Eigentlich fühlt sich Juliet in der neuen Wohnung recht wohl, wenn sie nicht neuerdings so gerädert wäre oder sogar morgens verschläft.

- DARTH VADER11. Januar 2026I really enjoyed this thriller, I thought it was watchable, engaging & suspenseful. I thought it was very well paced, it's less than an hour and a half, which benefits the movie a lot, it gets in & gets out and doesn't overstay its welcome. The Acting from both Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan is so good, that it elevates the film as a whole. I thought the secret locations that Max built behind the walls were very creative and kept the movie interesting! I really like the apartment setting and suited the movies tone, atmosphere & concept! The last Act of the film was very eventful and had a long drawn out fight and struggle, between Juliet & Max our protagonist & antagonist of the film, which is awesome for a movie like this. And the ending is very satisfying as well IMO. However the main issue I had with it, is how Max got Juliet there to that apartment in the first place, through a set of circumstances that he made happen and setup, I didn't fully buy it tbh. And with a movie like this, you've got to ignore & look past the illogical bullshit that just wouldn't play out like that in real life. Overall this is a movie that I think, is quite underrated and is 💯 Recommendable!
