I love how serious they take it. You can tell how much they care about what they are doing. A quick watch and most definitely worth it.

Inmates learn every aspect of the quilting process and create hand-made, hand-designed quilts for foster children. The redemptive power of art, creation and community service are on full display. It’s also simultaneously sad to see some of the inmates lose these privileges.

Im South Central Correctional Center nahe einer Kleinstadt zwei Stunden südlich von St. Louis nähen Schwerverbrecher Steppdecken für einen guten Zweck. Die Insassen des Hochsicherheitsgefängnisses im US-Bundesstaat Missouri entwerfen und schneidern die Quilts für Pflegekinder im Rahmen eines Beschäftigungsprogramms. In dieser Kurz-Dokumentation erzählen sie von ihren inneren Dämonen und wie sie nicht zuletzt mit Hilfe des Nähens gegen diese ankämpfen.
