The power of governments behind the events has been replaced by the power of the multi-national holding companies. Nowadays you don't conquer a country; you buy it. 'The Lithium Conspiracy' is set in the Republic of Queimada. In the Salar de Queimada lies 50% of planet Earth's world supply of Lithium. Not surprisingly, there are greedy international Banks and corporations interested in mining it; and a "dog-eat-dog" fight to seize it.
