The Killer's Game Rezensionen & Wertungen
- William Clark9. Oktober 2025Bad acting abounds
- Daiken Seige24. August 2025Ok first and foremost. This movie is DUMB!! and I mean really dumb. Its fantastic. Its going to be a movie that you can put on in the background while working or doing something and then stop to watch some action and then go back to what ever you are doing. Go in with that mindset and you will have a great time. Go in expecting something else. Not so much.
- Slosenhousen29. Januar 2025Going into this with no real expectations I actually thought this movie was pretty good
- Kevin Ward1. Juli 2025I’m officially tired of this assassin/underworld genre. This one is fine thanks to the cast, but it’s just really not that interesting. Decent background watch except for some of the subtitled parts.
- Rye Rye20. Juni 2025I was really surprised at how fun this movie is definitely a great weekend popcorn flick. I definitely wouldn't mind a sequel. I definitely can see myself coming back to watch this action movie
- Donald Winzer28. März 2025Fun. Not great, not terrible. Not too short, not too long. It lands somewhere between Nobody (2021) and Bullet Train (2022).
- Poulsen8017. März 2025went into this movie with low expectations, but with hope of some good action. But we were surprised, this movie is everything we hoped for, great turn the brain of action. Story line, isnt amazing actually a bit silly, but it doesn't really matter in this movie, this movie is about getting from Point A, Point B and finishing at Point C - without ever slowing down for more than 2 minutes at an hour. Recommend this movie for movie night at home with the kids, with the brain turned off ;-)
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ9. März 2025The perfect combination of action, romance, and comedy, this movie is an absolute blast. Dave Bautista shows off his proven fighting skills, as well as his softer romantic side.
- N-U-M-A-N8. Februar 2025Fun, good fight scenes, decent script, what more can you ask for with the woke crap these days?
- Brooks Brown3. Februar 2025Mindless fun action flick with some fantastic brutal deaths and moments.
- jackmeat2. Februar 2025My quick rating - 6.1/10. This one delivers exactly what you’d expect from an over-the-top action flick: brutal fight scenes, high-energy stunts, and a solid cast of killers ready to throw down. Directed by J.J. Perry, this film follows Joe Flood (Dave Bautista), a top-tier hitman who, after receiving a terminal diagnosis, decides to put out a hit on himself. Of course, things don’t go as planned, and when his new girlfriend Maize (Sofia Boutella) is dragged into the chaos, Flood finds himself battling an army of elite assassins—including some he hired himself. The story has been used before so don't expect any revelations to be introduced from it. One of the film’s biggest strengths is its action-packed cast. Drew McIntyre and Scott Adkins bring their signature fight choreography and intensity, making for some standout brawls, while Terry Crews adds his usual blend of brute force and comedic timing. The action sequences are well-executed, keeping the adrenaline pumping throughout. A fun touch was the use of altered subtitles for McIntyre and Adkins, censoring their English dialogue in a clever way to dodge profanity while still keeping their personalities intact. While The Killer’s Game doesn’t bring much depth or originality to the genre, it succeeds as a mindless, popcorn-munching action ride. It doesn’t demand much thought—just sit back, enjoy the relentless fight scenes, and appreciate the sheer entertainment value of seeing a cast of deadly assassins go to war. If you’re in the mood for non-stop action with a bit of humor, this one delivers.
- James Kearney24. Januar 2025A good slapstick action comedy with some good actors, Terry seems to play the same character in every film he's in and Dave is... well just being Dave 😁
- Pivorock26. März 2025Certainly one of the films of all time. It looks like a BBC TV show, with pretty lackluster CG spatters, but it has its comedic moments amidst the brutality.
- Hakihiko16. Dezember 2024Some Hits, Some Misses "The Killer's Game" starts with an intriguing premise-a hitman, Joe Flood (played by Dave Bautista), mistakenly puts a contract on himself after being misdiagnosed with a terminal illness. Initially, the story combines elements of action and humor effectively, with some clever transitions and engaging character interactions, particularly between Joe and Maize (Sofia Boutella). However, the movie quickly loses its edge as it progresses. The film's major downfall lies in its predictability. Once the premise is established, it falls into a repetitive pattern of over-the-top assassin encounters, each trying to be more outlandish than the last. While the creativity in designing these eccentric hitmen might amuse some, the lack of depth in their characterization makes these sequences tiresome. The humor often feels forced, and the reliance on unconvincing CGI blood detracts from the otherwise brutal action sequences. Bautista's performance holds the film together to some extent; his commitment to the role and occasional moments of heartfelt emotion are commendable. Unfortunately, the supporting cast, including talented actors like Ben Kingsley and Terry Crews, feels underutilized. The chemistry between Bautista and Boutella is one of the film's stronger aspects but doesn't get enough focus amidst the chaos. Director J. J. Perry's attempt to emulate the stylized action of John Wick falls short. The movie features some inventive kills but lacks the fluid choreography and visual flair that could have elevated it. Instead, it feels like a mix of conflicting tones, with absurd humor clashing awkwardly with the gritty action. In summary, The Killer's Game is neither a great action film nor a memorable comedy. While it has moments of fun and a solid lead in Bautista, the overall execution leaves much to be desired. It's a passable watch for die-hard action fans but offers little to set itself apart in a crowded genre.
