Once again, Paula Dupree, the Ape Woman, is brought back to life, this time by a mad scientist and his disfigured assistant, who also kidnaps his female lab assistant in order to have a female blood donor. By this time, Paula has brain damage from her experiences in the last film, so there's not much for her to do except wander around.

A Universal B-movie creature feature. Part 3 of the Ape Women films with a mix of mad‑science melodrama and creature‑feature charm. The film leans heavily on Otto Kruger’s performance as the cold, calculating Mr. Stendahl, whose experiments drive the plot into increasingly bizarre territory. Vicky Lane steps into the role of the Ape Woman, though she’s given little to do beyond embodying the tragic monster at the center of the chaos. The film’s most memorable presence is Rondo Hatton as Moloch, whose imposing physicality adds a welcome jolt of menace.

“The Jungle Captive” is the third and final entry in the Ape Woman series, featuring a mad scientist who reanimates Paula Dupree’s corpse. This installment leans more into crime drama than horror, with a plot centered on kidnapping and lengthy medical procedures. Scares are minimal, and the atmosphere lacks tension. It’s only worth watching if you’ve seen the first two and feel the need to complete the trilogy.
