Kuzco ist ein junger Inkaherrscher und dementsprechend eingebildet. Er will nicht nur das Haus des Hirten Pacha für ein Sommerschwimmbad abreißen, er entlässt auch noch seine Beraterin Yzma. Die sinnt auf Rache und versucht nicht nur, ihn zu vergiften sondern auch den Thron an sich zu reißen. Doch ihr dämlicher Gehilfe Kronk macht einen Fehler und Kuzco wird nur in ein Lama verwandelt. Auf Umwegen gelangt er zufällig wieder an Pacha, der ihm helfen will Yzma und Kronk zu stoppen. Jetzt ist Chaos angesagt ...

Watching Kuzco go from a selfish emperor-turned-llama to a humble friend, thanks to Pacha’s kindness, is heartwarming. Yzma’s wild schemes, Kronk’s clueless loyalty, and the final showdown in the ‘secret lab,’ where Yzma turns into a cat, just seal the deal. It’s that perfect mix of humor, quotable moments, and genuine character growth that makes it a 5-star classic for me.

I think they snatch your Disney Adult card for less but don’t worry, my friends properly shamed and bullied me into watching it and now I’m completely on board with this film and I think that it’s great. I finally get all the memes and references I’ve been seeing for YEARS and I caaan’t believe I didn’t know anything about Kitty Yzma until now?! I think seeing ENG for the first time at this point was also kinda refreshing because as much as I love Disney, I haven’t really been connecting with some of the more recent releases. So yeah, I don’t mind taking it back to 2000 (when the world made slightly more sense 🥲) to feel that Disney magic again. I might even give Ratatouille a try 🤷🏽♀️
