Talk to Me
Talk to Me Rezensionen & Wertungen
- chicharron_chel25. April 2026Miranda Otto and a LOTR reference - we love to see it. Pretty decent horror movie with good scares, even if there weren’t a lot of them. Good commentary on grief. Gorier than expected
- MrTrivet20. April 2026Somehow this challenge feels like eating TidePods - something so cursed that never should have existed in the first place. The atmosphere reminded me of an old New Zealand anti–drink-driving ad: a house party, people joking, filming everything, pushing away the thought of danger until someone gets hurt. Allegorically, it has a lot to say about modern youth culture, where the boundaries of common sense are pushed for clout and viral. The characters treat the occult like harmless microdosing of adrenaline and it seriously backfires. It’s a highly engaging and confident horror. From the opening scenes it builds tension and sustains it with the intensity of the best in the genre. The film’s greatest strength lies in its young actors - their emotions, mistakes, and need to belong feel painfully real. Even though the special effects are strong, the real fear comes from the tension, the uncertainty, and the slow uncovering of the mystery surrounding the demonic hand.

- Robert Robrahn18. Januar 2026YES YES YES..........GOOD SCARES AND A COUPLE OF CHARACTERS I WILL HATE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! When a film can leave a mark 9n me be it good or bad, I'm in
- Halim Mellick2. Januar 2026Watched this movie leading into midnight 2025/26 and started the year with my hole clenched tightly. As an Australian fan of horror, especially the shining, 2001 a space odyssey, get out, nope, hereditary, midsommar, the babadook and the loved ones, this was an unexpected treat. As biased as I am, this film really stood up to the other’s mentioned and that’s a huge achievement for a debut from 2 Aussie boys. Next up on the list was Bring Her Back and gosh I was not ready for that hectic back to back but I highly recommend
- Richard Scott Long18. November 2025For a modern "horror " flick. I thought it was really good.😊
- Rick12. Februar 2025The whole movie I wondered who the fuck would touch the hand. Then I realized I totally would have touched the hand. Fantastic job building the tension throughout and stuck the landing hard. Great modern horror movie.
- Austin Burke30. Mai 2025This is an unforgettable horror experience that almost brings every element home. The atmosphere is built up brilliantly, and the imagery is haunting. These characters make ignorant decisions, but the repercussions provide a story that will keep viewers engaged from start to finish, and the pacing is fantastic.
- makdelart6. November 2025An interesting concept, but its development is lacking. The ending is excellent.
- Lorem ipsum27. Oktober 2025A24 has rarely slipped and this genius reprise of an age-old plot is no different. They’ve taken something thoroughly trodden over and breathed new life and new horror into it. No zombies here though; it’s as fresh as you get. The film lacks some of the deeper cinematic treasures one gets from a cult classic or veteran director, but you don’t notice it until after it’s taken you by the hand and pulled you through the story, cringing and screaming. One of the best classic horror films I’ve seen in a long time! Special shout out to the make-up and effects team! Excellently executed!
- Kyle Bianchi8. Oktober 2025"Did the hand thing scare you?" Talk To Me is wholly original and awesome, and made even more impressive by the fact that it's these filmmakers' first feature film. Prior to this, they were YouTubers. Imagine going from a platform like that to making a heavy, awesome horror flick like this and having it be picked up and carried by A24.
- pipanni22. September 2025An original horror movie, with some nice ideas and a great tense atmosphere. Great acting by the lead female, which is essential to making any horror film convincing. The only thing at fault is the pacing, which is uneven, and also the fact that most characters are annoying and/or uninteresting. But all in all this is a good horror movie that fans of the genre should not miss.
- Monkey See! Monkey Review!!22. September 2025After my first watch, I sat there thinking, “What the hell did I just witness?” The second time around, all I could think was: “Stupid kids.” TLDR -> I definitely recommend Talk to Me, but be warned—it’s a wild ride. The film dives into the idea of communicating with the dead in a way I didn’t see coming. It opens with the usual high school horror tropes and takes its time—about 30 minutes—before it really kicks into gear. Once the main premise hits, it’s a parade of unsupervised teens making increasingly reckless choices. I kept asking myself, “How is this even fun?” But hey, different strokes. There are definitely creepy moments—some solid jump scares and unsettling visuals, like the blacked-out eyes and that bloated corpse lady—but I felt like the film missed an opportunity to flesh out the spirits themselves. There’s little backstory, no real exploration of who these entities are or why they matter. The horror is surface-level: eerie, yes, but not deeply disturbing. The main character ends up carrying the weight of everything going wrong, while the adults and other kids seem to skate by without much accountability. It’s frustrating to watch things spiral with no one stepping in. Without spoiling too much, the ending is unexpected and satisfying in its own twisted way. Still, the film leaves a lot of questions unanswered—especially about the origins of the mysterious hand that acts as the conduit. A prequel exploring its history and how it’s passed from person to person could be fascinating. Overall, Talk to Me is a fun, fast-paced horror flick with a fresh concept and some memorable moments. It’s not heavy on lore, and it doesn’t dig deep into its mythology, but it’s definitely worth a watch—just don’t expect to walk away with all the answers. One and done, but worth the ride.
