- Spanktacular11. Januar 2026He was way funnier in Naked Gun. I finally watched it after seeng the memes. An action masterpiece.
- WAR STOIC8. Januar 2026Not bad for a thinking man’s action flick.
- ርልዪረ3. Februar 2025A retired CIA agent travels across Europe and relies on his old skills to save his estranged daughter, who has been kidnapped while on a trip to Paris. Taken is a great action packed thriller that will not disappoint you. The action leaves you at the edge of your seat and gives you that rush! and it just never stop. It's a huge thrill ride that leaves you eager and makes your heartbeat. A simple but good idea executed well by the director. It does more then enough to keep you entertained. It get's very intense and thrilling at times too. A movie with intense non-stop action through out. What more could you want? Liam Neeson does superbly in his role as an ex-spy, who is professionally trained to kill, that goes save his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) after she is kidnapped (taken). The length of the film could be longer but it's still a decent amount of time as the action never stops. If your looking for a really fast paced action packed, you can do much worse than Taken.
- mickerdoo15. Juli 2025The kidnap revenge movie that all others are measured against. I wish Liam Neeson was my dad so I could sleep sound.
- flavo4322. November 2025Taken is one of those action films that instantly rewired how people saw Liam Neeson. Up to that point, he was a respected dramatic actor; afterward, he was the middle-aged action hero. As Bryan Mills, he brings a mix of weary dad energy and terrifying competence that sells every fight, interrogation, and chase. The movie itself is lean and efficient—no bloated subplots, just a tight race against time through a grimy underworld. And of course, there’s the legendary “particular set of skills” phone speech. Whenever I watch it with friends, at least one person can’t resist reciting those lines along with him. It’s become a pop culture staple for a reason. While the sequels never quite recaptured the same lightning, the original Taken deserves full credit for kicking off a new phase of Neeson’s career and delivering a brutally satisfying, endlessly rewatchable revenge thriller. Great flick, every time.
- Kratouille10. September 2025Does the job for what it is : entertainement :)
- leafsf63. November 2025Solid action movie. Liam Neeson is awesome ofc and he does in fact have skills.
- M08Y9. Oktober 2025Slick, Punchy and Brutal - Taken is one of the better action films out there, and among the top of those in the 00's. Taken really is one of those simple action films that just works. It doesn't get bogged down by too much character work or world building. It knows exactly what it is and does not disappoint. The standout element for me is the pacing, this 90 minute murder-fest doesn't waste a second, each scene bleeds so naturally into the next but knows when to slow down to give your brain (and your eyes) a break. As much as I've gushed over the film thus far, it's not perfect. The fight scenes are a bit choppy (I imagine due to Neeson not being the worlds best brawler) and the violence seems a little tame at times, That guy got shot in the head, I would like to see some blood please. You have an 18 rating, you might as well use it. Choppy, bloodless fights aside, Taken looks and sounds the part, Liam Neeson's famous phone call will forever be in my ears.
- lauterzero27. August 2025i love this movie sm
- Andrew Clout4. Juli 2025It was late, I couldn’t sleep and had to rewatch this. Enjoyable and gripping with some iconic scenes. I envy you if you haven’t seen it….watch it now and thank me later.
- pipanni19. Mai 2025An instant classic and possibly the best action movie from Liam Neeson.
- Hakihiko16. Dezember 2024A Tense and Thrilling Action Classic "Taken" is a gripping, fast-paced action-thriller that knows exactly what it wants to deliver: a tense, adrenaline-fueled ride with a compelling central performance by Liam Neeson. Directed by Pierre Morel, the film introduces us to Bryan Mills, a retired CIA operative whose "very particular set of skills" are put to the ultimate test when his teenage daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is abducted by human traffickers while on a trip to Paris. What makes "Taken" stand out is its simplicity. The plot is straightforward but executed with a sense of urgency and intensity that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The pacing is tight, with minimal downtime, and the action sequences are brutal and efficient, showcasing Bryan's methodical approach to rescuing his daughter. Liam Neeson's performance is the heart of the film. He brings gravitas to Bryan Mills, making him a relatable and sympathetic father while also exuding the cold, calculated efficiency of a seasoned operative. His now-iconic phone speech ("I will find you, and I will kill you") has become a defining moment in action cinema, setting the tone for the rest of the film. The cinematography and direction work well to heighten the tension, though some of the fight scenes could have benefited from cleaner choreography. The villains, while serviceable, are rather generic and don't offer much depth, but the film doesn't dwell on them long enough for this to become a major flaw. "Taken" is not without its shortcomings-it's light on character development beyond Bryan, and the story doesn't break new ground in the genre. However, its sheer intensity and emotional stakes more than make up for these limitations. It's a film that thrives on its no-nonsense approach and delivers exactly what action fans crave. For anyone looking for a high-octane thriller with a strong emotional core, "Taken" is a must-watch. While it may not redefine the genre, it remains a standout example of what a well-crafted action movie can achieve.
