However, while on a trip to Europe with his school, elementals start attacking the cities and Mysterio, another hero, comes to help. ## Review I think one of the major themes here that is so well presented is grief and closure. The only father figure we have seen for Spider-Man was [[Iron Man]] and now he is gone. You also have just the idea of missing 5 years and trying to figure that out. I can only imagine the effort it would take to deal with the loss of Tony when there is a mural of him everywhere. In at least 2 of the 3 cities, these giant murals of Tony are around where they are staying. The entire story very much feels like [[Iron Man 3]] where the bad guy isn't who you think it is. There also is a great scene where Jake and Tom are in a bar having a drink, and it slowly bleeds away showing what is going on. If you really pay attention to the background early in the movie, you can see the bad team following Peter around all the towns watching. This movie really shows some great chemistry between the entire team. I find Ned's whole relationship to the blonde so funny. It is very high-school trip relationship, and it makes me laugh way too hard. I think you can also see Tom and Zendaya's real life relationship bleed into this movie, especially the bridge scene. ## [My Rating] There are some real long term story issues that start here. The Skrull's showing up present a big issue, that doesn't get solved in [[Secret Invasion]] which it was setting up. The idea of angry people about how Tony passed on his tech is for sure something that is real in that work. The action is good, the character portrayal is good. I just feel the story is forced at times and doesn't live up to a post Endgame World, which is going to be hard. I know that people will think I am crazy about this score, but this is a 7. It is just good enough to be really good, but doesn't move into the "Great" world. ## [Parental Rating] Limited language with some intense violence. I mean there is a lot of PG-13 blood and fighting and dramatic scenes. There is no sex or nudity. I think that my parents would skip it unless the kids wanted to watch it. Actually I think from a rule's perspective, I have to say that it's approved by Dad and rejected by mom as there is just no family involved, but either way, I don't think they'd choose to watch it.
- Hakihiko15. März 2026Light and Entertaining "Spider-Man: Far From Home" delivers a colorful and energetic continuation of the character's journey within the Marvel universe. While it carries the responsibility of following one of the franchise's most monumental chapters, the film wisely leans into a lighter tone, embracing humor, charm, and a sense of youthful adventure. The result is a superhero film that feels breezy and accessible, even if it doesn't aim for the same emotional weight as its larger counterparts. Tom Holland once again proves why he is such a strong fit for the role, bringing an earnestness and vulnerability that keeps the character relatable. His performance captures the awkward balance between heroism and ordinary teenage life, which remains one of the character's defining strengths. The supporting cast adds to the film's appeal, with Zendaya offering a sharp and charismatic presence, while Jake Gyllenhaal delivers a performance that injects a welcome sense of flair and unpredictability into the story. Visually, the movie is vibrant and polished, making excellent use of its international settings to create a sense of scale and variety. The action sequences are inventive and visually dynamic, though the film occasionally leans a bit too heavily on spectacle rather than deeper character exploration. Its pacing remains brisk and entertaining, but at times the narrative feels more like a transitional chapter than a fully stand-alone story. Even so, "Spider-Man: Far From Home" succeeds as an enjoyable superhero adventure that plays to the strengths of its cast and tone. It may not reach the emotional or thematic heights of the very best entries in the genre, but its humor, charm, and lively energy make it an easy film to enjoy.
- konkydong14. Februar 2026another spider-man with terrible pacing and the most pathetic superhero ever written, the cgi is outstanding but a film needs more than that. Slightly better than homecoming but not by much, the dialog is still awful, the story rubbish. Nothing like the quality of the mcu not even as good as the terrible x-men movies.
