- jackmeat7. Februar 2025My quick rating - 5,4/10. Quick way to put it: "Misery" with voodoo. Not the great acting "Misery" had although it is still pretty decent. A father (Omari Hardwick) survives a plane crash in rural Appalachia but becomes suspicious of the elderly couple who take him in to nurse him back to health with their ancient remedies. The why in this story is very vague though. Not terrible but considering it was carrying a $25 price, I would think you'll want to wait for it to pop up elsewhere (like Plex)

Die ländliche Region Appalachia im Osten der USA: Marquis, seine Frau Veora und die gemeinsamen Kinder im Teenager-Alter Tydon und Samsara sind mit dem Flugzeug auf dem Weg zur Beerdigung seines Vaters. Der Flieger gerät in einen Sturm und stürzt ab. Als Marquis aufwacht, befindet er sich auf dem Dachboden von Eloise. Die alte Dame macht zunächst einen freundlichen Eindruck. Doch sie hat eine Puppe aus der Haut von Marquis gemacht, den sie nun per Hoodoo-Magie unter Kontrolle hat. Marquis muss seine Familie retten, bevor der nächste Blutmond aufgeht …
