Snowpiercer Rezensionen & Wertungen
- Drew2. Januar 2026The best way to summarize this movie is to simply refer to Rick peeing on the TV while not understanding what to do with these feelings. It feels like someone put this through the movie-lizer and then let a 14 yr old boy have editorial control. Is this a class struggle flick? A warning for global warming while blaming only the USA & Britian? A nerdy sci-fi flick about a post-apocalyptic world? A showcase of how the elite are ruling over the everyday human? This film is a mess of so many cliches it doesn’t know what the heck it is and delivers on nothing. That’s also not mentioning the abhorrent lack of subtitles you apparently can only get in the hacked version for the Korean language bits. It keeps feeling more and more a Hollywood movie for Hollywood… with a dose of irony maybe you shouldn’t ask about? The intellectual inconsistencies are abundant, further the dramatic differences between the train cars further lends itself to the sci-fi 14yr old boy theory of having editorial control. In the end, the world is left to two minority children because naturally the world is ending because of humans and the white man is to blame for all our woes… Disjointed propaganda pic and if you’re not scratching your head about this flick and/or upset about the abhorrent lack of anything worthwhile watching, maybe you should go enjoy the last hated flick that enjoyed the top dog turd spot named “Splice” from 2010. I could go on and on about the horrendous horse pucky that is this film, but if you watch it, please do so with friends and make it a “craptastic movie night” event, get liquored up, and suffer together so you can refer to it later in your every day lives, because feeling like your time was worthwhile is out of the question for steaming pile.
- Cripps Kacey30. Dezember 2025Amazing movie
- Jesse Ashmead30. November 2025I have mixed emotions on this one. The premise of the movie is great but there's so many plot holes. Without giving anything away, the ending seem rather unrewarding, nevertheless it's worth watching once
- makdelart12. November 2025An allegory of humanity in a train with a typically Korean beating, i.e. we eat protein bars made from worms, in accordance with the EU directive.
- Arthas Menethil20. Oktober 2025It's kind of a darker version of a earlier TV show Grand Star...
- Daniel Gustavsson11. Oktober 2024Really good movie that sticks to your mind for a while. Good interesting story, nice scenery. Awesome characters. Love the real world parallels.
- Sil Rod1. September 2025I enjoyed the entire movie, but I also agree with everyone else. The ending could have been done better.
- SkyShazad20. Juni 2025So Ive been hearing about this movie for years, I've finally watched it, and I can't understand why this Movie was So hyped. It's just an okay movie. It has a great cast and all perform well, but I wouldn't watch it again, and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.
- DoggesAndCattes20. November 2024The snow was pierced!
- 5g44q21. August 2025Just feel like they coulda done a little better with the ending, but entertaining all the way through, and a visual masterpiece
- ርልዪረ6. März 2025Now I don't really like this genre of film and have been avoiding it like the plague, but with Bong Joon-ho at the helm as Director and for making the absolute genius of a film Parasite, I'd be a fool to continue living my life in ignorance. This film absolutely doesn't disappoint. This really is a superb cast and you've got to think to yourself, with names like Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris and John Hurt in the frame, would they really sign up to something substandard film or script wise? A shock to my system was Chris Evans. Now I'm probably the only one left in the whole wide world who has never watched a Captain America film, but it's a very nuanced performance and if he continues to make brave and bold acting choices, he will win an Academy Award one day. The only thing that spoils the packaging of this film is the Weinstein name. Apparently, he was a beast when it came to the release of this film and not allowing it to be nationwide. Anyway, I urge you all to watch this and better still, get your own copy like me. Consequently, I have now hunted down every single film Bong Joon-ho has made because he is a true master of his craft and a consummate genius in my opinion.
- rg94001. November 2024I am shocked that this movie somehow managed to fly under my radar. It has some fairly famous cast members, but for some reason, I never heard much about it, causing me to ignore it. I am very glad I rectified that mistake as I go through Bong Joon-ho's cinematography. It's the most action-driven of the movies I've seen from him (so far), and though you don't necessarily get the stylized action that has become popular from movies like John Wick, you can see flashes of cool cinematography as two sides fight in tight linear hallways, with each car resulting in very different aesthetics. Despite the limited space, Bong Joon-ho manages to keep the action dynamic, changing up the mechanics of each action scene so that it never feels stale. Like any of his movies, there is a ton of sociopolitical commentary, but this time you don't need to look very deep. The world is built similar to something out of The Hunger Games, and as the movie draws to a close, the messaging becomes sharper with its political thought experiment having clear present day parallels. My main criticism is that Chris Evans, as usual, is extremely bland. While I enjoyed Song Kang-ho and Go A-sung (both from The Host!), I found him to be a poor choice for the leading man. Thankfully, his character gets a bit more depth at the ending which makes the actual character arc significantly more interesting, but I still maintain he didn't do a great job. Also, it takes until the ending to get there. The movie can be brutal at times, but it also has a zaniness and comedic undertone to it that is similar to other movies by this director. Overall, I found it highly engaging, entertaining, and compelling, and I'm starting to think Bong Joon-ho is one of my favorite active directors.
- sammysam75613. Juli 2025Wasn’t satisfied with the ending
- Lasse Viinikainen31. Juli 2025A book forced into a limited space still manages to excite.
- Dennis Michael26. Juli 2025This is no fair I didn't know this app had this in its library. This is one of those I don't believe it moments. We used to say "Kodak moment"
