- Mike Shulman5. Februar 2026Sam Raimi is back with Send Help to remind us all why he is the all time MVP of dark disgusting twisted f@cked up horror. This movie was nearly perfect. Rachel McAdams is amazing as the submissive nerdy "so we think" employee and Dylan O'Brien as well as the douchebag CEO who inherited everything from daddy and never worked a day in his life. Inevitably after not promoting her the two are the only survivors of a work related plane crash and wash up on a small island in the middle of the ocean. From here Linda who spends her spare time reading survivalist books and auditioning for... You guessed it Survivor is now in her element. She's now the boss and goes out of her way to demonstrate this to Bradley... Multiple times showing him why he needs her... But she's also got a more sinister motivation... As does he... One thing is clear... Both Linda and Bradley are flawed people. Welcome to a Sam Raimi movie.... We're not getting clear cut good vs evil characters. And as you can guess in true Raimi fashion the last hour gets really f@cked up... We get some trademark Evil Dead throwback action. Ultra violence, bodily fluids, laugh out loud moments and WTF moments. And you won't know what's what until the very end. The amount of satisfaction you get from the ending might depend on how depraved your mind is. That's why for me it's awesome. Send Help 9/10
- klit7523. April 2026My honest thought is maybe more of a preference. People are comparing this story to "Misery". I think that's unfair to Misery which was a great movie. Personally I LOVED the idea. Rachel McAdams has aged like fine wine both in her beauty and acting skills. I just didn't want the comedic aspect. I wanted this one played straight. A few moments were kind of Naked Gun'ish. Let the anti-hero become the psycho who she is under pressure. Trying to make her funny softens her. The laughs just weren't strong enough to make this a really good movie.
- Movie Reviewers' Clubvor 4 TagenAlthough the trailers and pre-released content make it clear where this movie is going to end up, the journey to what seems like the inevitable is still full of surprises. Bradley and Linda find themselves to be the only two survivors of a plane crash. Now stranded on an island with nothing to see for miles, they must find a way to get over their awkward encounters and uncomfortable tension that was fostered in the office workspace. Being a CEO and a subordinate, with two different lifestyles, this proves more difficult than they realize. Show casing how hard island survival can be in the wild, Send Help proves how much relationships with those that are left can also be deadly. While being a classic example of a dark comedy, this film maintains that constant spooky undertone of realism through conversation and life or death priorities. It captures weird and hilarious scenarios the characters find themselves in and how that most likely would be you in the same circumstance. I enjoyed the bits and pieces of horror throughout, finding that they worked quite well in maintaining the real tension that comes with surviving on a stranded island. While staying witty and keeping to modern themes of the 2020’s, I found it engaging, entertaining and worth the watch.

Linda Liddle zählt zu den Angestellten, die im Unternehmen (nicht unbedingt freiwillig) unter dem Radar fliegt und deshalb kaum Beachtung findet. Ihr Alltag ändert sich jedoch von einem Moment auf den anderen, als sie gemeinsam mit ihrem Vorgesetzten Bradley Preston nach einem Flugzeugabsturz auf einer einsamen Insel strandet. Als einzige Überlebende stehen die beiden nun vor der Herausforderung, sich in dieser unwirtlichen Umgebung nicht nur zurechtzufinden, sondern den Überlebenskampf sicher für sich zu entscheiden. Früh treten die alten beruflichen Spannungen und unausgefochtene Konflikte an die Oberfläche, während die beiden gezwungen sind, zusammenzuarbeiten, um Nahrung, Schutz und einen Weg zur Rettung zu finden. Doch aus dem gemeinsamen Überlebenskampf entwickelt sich ein Spiel aus Kontrolle und Misstrauen, in dem keiner bereit ist, die Oberhand zu verlieren.
