Lee Holloway leidet gerne, auch körperlich. Auch nach einem Aufenthalt in der Psychiatrie, in die sie wegen Suizid-Verdachts - ein Schnitt war ein wenig zu tief geraten - eingeliefert worden war, bleibt alles beim alten. Als Lee einen Job als Sekretärin bei dem exzentrischen Rechtsanwalt E. Edward Grey annimmt, scheinen sich zwei verwandte Seelen gefunden zu haben. Denn die beiden beginnen eine ebenso lustvolle wie intensive S/M-Affäre. Da bekommt Grey Angst vor der eigenen Courage und kündigt seiner devoten Angestellten.

    I don’t even know what to say. Beginning and ending was immaculate. I don’t understand the meaning of each symbol that was shown, either was a symbol or not intended to, everything is. Gosh

    Strange, erotic, eccentric, dramatic, and absolutely fascinating. What makes it so compelling is how unique the characters are, and unraveling their motives delivers a lot to the experience. Be prepared for something quite different.

    Weird storyline very slow movie to those comparing it to 50 SOG should really open their horizons. Just bc a movie had a very soft Dom at times doesn’t compare, not even close. You wanna watch something along those lines with a much better story line I suggest the 365 Days. There is 3 of them so be sure to watch in order, you’re welcome

    Look- It's better than 50 Shades. While clumsy and awkward at times, Secretary manages to avoid the cringe factor of the 50 shades series. There's no millionaires, no lavish parties, no flash cars and no ego to be found here. This strange low-budget exploration of kink manages to feel very honest with itself. James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal turn in great performances and actually seem to have real chemistry together. Gyllenhaal really pulls it out of the bag with a captivating performance as Lee Holloway. It's hard to portray genuine naivety but it works so very well. The audio and visuals are nothing to write home about. Genuinely nothing of note.
