Sean Baker has nailed down some intimate cinematography that oozes with rich colorful tones throughout and mirrors the optimism and empathy of its well written screenplay.
- CineMono22. November 2025Rex's performance is great as is most of the casts. It feels as if Baker was unsure of how to end the film and there is no real resolution for characters. Does Rex's character learn anything? Do his actions amount to consequences, revelation, insight? Not really. As such the ending is a bit flat and anticlimactic.
