Juni 2025I think one of the reasons this has polarizing reviews is the fact that, in order to truly enjoy it, you have to be a major fan of Pride & Prejudice AND Zombies - like myself. I think this movie only appeals to those in that little sliver in the middle of that Venn diagram. It is EXACTLY P&P with the same plot, characters, relationships, conversations, etc., just WITH zombies. They did not change one thing about the plot here, except for the one big one, so if you don't like Jane Austin and eating brains, you won't like this movie. I think, it's a really fun way to put new life into an old classic. I think many people might've been swayed to read the original after seeing this. My only gripe; however, is the old and kind of racist "Eastern-mystic" angle - the use of Asia as a mystic wealth of knowledge for the benefit of white people without actually exploring their culture - the obviously dubbed Japanese and Mandarin was particularly cringe-worthy and wholly unnecessary.

The clever mashup of romance, wit, and undead action makes this one-of-a-kind film so much fun to watch. Even my wife, was hooked and loved it. A masterpiece for its sheer originality and entertainment value!

September 2025If you enjoyed Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter as I did then you like this, they entwined Jane austins words in the script tense moments well, the zombies were few but this was due to budget I guess as CGI expensive. Would love see sequel I enjoyed it that much definitely recommend

Im London Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts dreht sich in der gehobenen Gesellschaft für die Familie Bennet alles um eine Aufgabe. Die fünf Töchter müssen irgendwie unter die Haube gebracht werden. Elisabeth scheint aber ein schwieriger Fall zu sein, was das Heiraten angeht, denn die Kluft zwischen Liebe und Zweckehe ist schwer zu schließen. Der neue und überaus vermögende Nachbar Charles Bingley scheint ein geeigneter Kandidat. Doch er verliebt sich in Elisabeths Schwester Jane. Sein guter Freund Mr. Darcy dagegen, scheint sich durchaus für das eigensinnige Mädchen erwärmen zu können, obwohl eine Heirat weit unter seinem Stand wäre. Elisabeth, die bald genug von den Anbandlungen und damit verbundenen Intrigen hat, entschließt sich aber, dem Kampf gegen eine sich ausbreitende Zombieseuche anzutreten.
