- Kevin Ward3. Juli 2025Nothing Underneath or Too Beautiful To Die Was looking for a decent slasher pick and this seemed like it had all of the elements. Mid 80’s giallo, black gloved killer, scissors, psychically connected twins, murdered supermodels and Donald Pleasance. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The first couple scissor kills happen off screen, it takes quite a while to get going, there’s far less blood than gratuitous nudity, and the final reveal was completely obvious. Wasn’t quite the stylish slasher I was hoping for. If you looking for a male gaze-y giallo, though, this would fit the bill nicely.

Yellowstone Nationalpark Aufseher Bob Crane (Tom Schanley) hat plötzlich eine Vision. Ein Unbekannter versucht mit einer Schere seine Zwillingsschwester Jessica zu ermorden. Er reist sofort nach Mailand und stellt fest, daß das Model spurlos verschwunden ist. Da weder eine Leiche noch Blutspuren aufzufinden sind, kann Kommissar Danesi (Donald Pleasence) mit irgendwelchen Visionen wenig anfangen. Plötzlich wird aber am selben Ort, auf die gleiche Art und Weise wie in Bob's Vision, ein weiteres Model ermordet.
Die Hauptcharaktere in The Last Shot sind Bob Crane (Tom Schanley), Barbara (Renée Simonsen), Commissioner Danesi (Donald Pleasence).
