Unterwegs trifft sie auf die Halbgott-Legende Maui, um den sich unzählige Mythen ranken und der ganze Inseln aus dem Meer hieven kann. Begleitet von dem dämlichen Hahn Heihei und dem niedlichen Hausschwein Pua wandeln die Häuplingstochter und Maui auf den Spuren von Vaianas Vorfahren und treffen auf furchterregende Kreaturen...

Everything about this is cheap and generic and frankly it reminds me a lot of "the good dinosaur" in that sense. I thought Disney really stepped up the creativity with "Frozen" but with this latest trend of complete garbage they roll out, we are again reminded that they really don't give a crap.
