Nach seiner Ankunft in Miami tötet der amoralische Gauner Junior mehr zufällig einen Krishnajünger. Mit der Aufklärung wird der abgetakelte Cop Mosley beauftragt. Junior verliebt sich in die kleine Nutte Susie und verübt fortan Diebstähle, um seine Freundin mitzuernähren. Als Mosley auf Juniors Fährte stößt, schlägt dieser ihn nieder, klaut ihm Waffe, Dienstmarke und Gebiß und klärt fortan dessen Fälle – wobei Junior allerdings die Diebesbeute einbehält. Susie will Junior zurück auf den rechten Pfad bringen. Enttäuscht verschwindet sie nach einem mißglückten Einbruch Juniors mit dem Fluchtauto. In seinem Zuhause wird Junior von Mosley gestellt.
