- Zokkiie9. Juni 2026This was a pretty easy watch. The cast is likable, a handful of jokes landed for me, and the movie never takes itself too seriously. It's the kind of horror-comedy that's more interested in being goofy than scary, which works in its favor most of the time. I found it hard not to smile at some of the ridiculous situations it comes up with. The humor is definitely hit-or-miss, and there are stretches where it feels like it's coasting on the premise alone. Honestly, it's a lot easier to enjoy if you treat it as a parody of The Omen rather than expecting it to do its own thing. Once I looked at it that way, most of the jokes worked better. Nothing special, but a fun enough movie to throw on when you're in the mood for something light.

Gary könnte nicht glücklicher sein. Mit Samantha hat er seine absolute Traumfrau geheiratet und jetzt ziehen die beiden in ihr gemeinsames Haus in einer ruhigen Siedlung in der Vorstadt. Dabei hat es ihn auch gar nicht gestört, dass Samantha bereits ihren sechsjährigen Sohn Lucas mit in die Ehe bringt. Gary will auch unbedingt eine Beziehung zu seinem neuem Stiefsohn aufbauen, doch schon bald muss er feststellen, dass das gar nicht so einfach ist. Denn nicht nur lässt Lucasseinen Stiefvater nicht in seine Nähe und spricht zu ihm nur durch eine Socken-Handpuppe, sondern es passieren auch seltsame Dinge in seiner Nähe. Als Gary auch noch erfährt, dass Samantha zur Zeit der Schwangerschaft Mitglied eines seltsamen Kults war, kommt ihm nach und nach ein schlimmer Verdacht, der die Beziehung zu seiner neuen Frau gehörig auf die Probe stellen könnte: Ist Lucas vielleicht die Wiedergeburt des Antichristen?
