Let's be Cops - Die Party Bullen

Let's be Cops - Die Party Bullen Rezensionen & Wertungen
- Steven Anderson27. Februar 2025Cheesy? Absolutely. Still this movie is pretty damn funny and worth watching if you like comedy.
- John Chapel12. April 2026Wew, lad. I mean....what do you say about this? I know its not trying to win any awards here but.....jesus, I genuinely thought it would be funnier, even if it stayed silly. But man. Only reason it gets a star is because Jake Johnson performed his butt off in this movie. Even Damon Wayons Jr visably did not want to do this movie, but Jake really carries whatever passes for "good" in this. The problem, see, was the writing. It just wasn't very good, the plot vehicle was put together in the absolute stupidest manner, and frankly none of it makes any sense. Like I said: what can you say? It's not unwatchable. I think thats the nicest thing I can say about it. Nina Dobrev is one of the hottest women alive and this movie isnt COMPLETELY unwatchable. Two good things.
- Manuel Frangis6. April 2025I just watched Let’s Be Cops, and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie had me laughing from beginning to end. It is one of those comedies that does not take itself seriously at all, and that is what makes it so fun. The concept is ridiculous in the best way, and the chemistry between the two leads makes it even better. If you are in the mood for something loud, chaotic, and full of nonstop laughs, this movie delivers. The story follows two best friends, Ryan and Justin, who are feeling stuck in life. They are both in their thirties, struggling to figure things out, and not exactly living their dreams. One night they go to a costume party dressed as cops, and people actually think they are real officers. Instead of clearing it up, they roll with it. That turns into a wild ride full of fake patrols, chases, criminal takedowns, and all kinds of ridiculous situations that just keep escalating. Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. are perfect together. Their timing, reactions, and banter feel totally natural. You believe that they have been best friends forever, and the way they play off each other is what really makes the movie work. Johnson plays the confident, reckless one who takes things way too far, and Wayans Jr. is the more responsible guy who just keeps getting dragged along for the ride. The dynamic between them is hilarious and gives the movie its heart. The comedy hits hard. There are physical gags, awkward situations, misunderstandings, and a ton of one-liners that land perfectly. Some scenes are so over the top that you cannot help but laugh. The movie does not slow down much, and it always finds a new way to get them into trouble. There is even a surprising amount of action. Some of the chase scenes and fights are actually exciting, and that adds to the fun. What I love most about Let’s Be Cops is that it commits to the bit. It does not try to get too serious or dramatic. It knows it is a dumb idea for two regular guys to pretend to be cops, and it pushes that idea to the limit. It is not realistic, but that is kind of the point. It is pure comedy chaos, and it works because the characters are likable, the jokes land, and the situations just get crazier as it goes. There are a few small emotional moments too. You see why both guys feel stuck in their lives and why pretending to be cops gives them this weird sense of purpose. It is not heavy or deep, but it gives the movie just enough heart to make you care. By the end, you are rooting for them, even when they are clearly in way over their heads. I give Let’s Be Cops 5 out of 5 stars because it is funny, wild, and just a great time. It is one of those comedies you can rewatch anytime and still laugh just as hard, thanks to a great cast and a ridiculous premise that totally works. Overall Let’s Be Cops is a hilarious buddy comedy that takes a crazy idea and runs with it full speed. It is packed with energy, great chemistry, and moments that will stick with you long after the credits roll. I had a blast watching it.
