Patrick sees this event as a perfect opportunity for his daughter to reconnect with her mother and it is precisely at the house of the latter that they are parked. Before saying goodbye, he tries to comfort her but can only observe his daughter characteristic assurance, the same confidence, he strangely recalls her experiencing at her first Halloween party, many years ago. Taking recent events into account, this story takes on a whole new symbolic for Patrick.
