- carter288211. Dezember 2025Krampus is an underrated Christmas horror film; That might just be a new Christmas classic!! The movie has such an interesting premise and story to tell, I have always been so infested in the story of Krampus and this movie just explains it pretty good; the movie explains the rules and the lore pretty nicely. The cast is really good in this movie, especially the main kid he was actually pretty decent in this film. The movie also has some great scares and intense sequences. Well, the movie has its fair share of scares; The comedy is gold for me in this film, it’s nothing special, but it still works and doesn’t fail to get me laughing a lot. The visual effects are very well done and Krampus especially looks so creepy in this film. The movie also comes with a sort of twist ending that’s actually pretty dark and shocking. So overall a great Christmas horror film that’s a lot of fun and definitely a movie I would recommend to watch around Christmas!!

However the managed to pull off the look, it worked really great. I did not realize Toni Collette was in this or I would have crossed this off my naughty list sooner.

The titular Krampus is menacing, and his sinister helpers add a creepy yet whimsical flair. However, the movie stumbles in its execution. The tone oscillates between horror and comedy, sometimes undermining the tension and making it difficult to take the scares seriously. While some moments are genuinely unsettling, others lean too heavily on camp, which diminishes the overall impact. The characters are serviceable, but they lack depth, making it hard to care about their fates. The film also struggles with pacing, dragging in the middle and rushing through its climax. Er wird angelockt durch die mangelnde Festtagsstimmung in Max‘ Elternhaus und kommt nun, um alle Ungläubigen zu bestrafen. Im Schlepptau hat er die Horrorversionen sonst so friedlicher Weihnachtsikonen. Max und seine Familie müssen nun zusammenhalten, um die grausige Sagengestalt zu vertreiben, bevor die Monster-Variante des Weihnachtsmanns jemanden fressen kann…
